Strengths: Great HD resolution, easy to use remote, and decent speakers!
Weaknesses: Not many that I can see.....
Summary: Okay, so I had one of the very first Samsung DLP rear screens back in 2003; and I thought it look fantastic and blew away any plasma or LED competition.....until I got this set! The picture is absolutely brilliant and the LED much brighter than the bulb based sets. What really surprised me, is that the speakers are pretty darn good (as opposed to what others we saying in their reviews)....lets face it, you're not going to use you home sound system for everything you watch on TV; hence these speakers are more than adequate....they even have an equalization adjustment! I've NEVER heard plasma or other LED based sets have audio any better than this Samsung! Got my unit from 6Ave and was extremely happy with the service. I was a little nervous having never ordered such a large unit on the internet before, but they were very courteous and helpful with my order. Don't delay, and get your hands on one of these sets before they're gone. You'll NEVER be able to go black to plasma or LED when you have one of these baby's!

Strengths: LED produces brilliant colors AND last the life (60,000 hrs) of you tv. No more bulbs to replace!. DNIe technology. 3D ready (Future proof). CinemaPure Color Engine. Energy Star certified.
Weaknesses: You will become spoiled and NEVER want anything less!
Summary: Excellent set. You can not go wrong with this purchase. Most screen for you dollar. Amazing crystal clear HD/Blu Ray viewing. And yes..more is BETTER at a whooping 61 inches. USB port for JPEG photos and MPEG music, and firmware updates. Lots of menu options to tweak your picture to perfection. Visit AVS forums for advice on calibrations. 3D ready, making this set future proof. Just to tell you...my friends are REALLY jealous of this set. Makes a 50 inch look "small". And yes, it DOES HAVE 120HZ refresh rates. It's always on. DLP never suffers from this, nor do plasmas...only LCDs/ That's why they market it as the next great thing...yes it is, only for LCDs. This is a great value and a set that you will truly enjoy everytime you turn it on. You won't regret it knowing that you have made a purchase that got you the MOST bang for your buck!

Strengths: Great picture and connection features; the PC connection is great for a computer running at 1920X1080
Weaknesses: The built in sound is tinny other than that....Nothing!
Summary: I ordered this all the way from Phoenix and had the white glove delivery and being a bit nervous because of the expense I wanted all the comforts I could have and 6th Ave delivered! It arrived in just about a week from the time I ordered it and the box was in perfect shape and the guy unboxed it and helped me put it right on my media cabinet and he even waited for me to test it out...Great service option. The TV has been nothing short of great! I almost always stay on the Hi-def cable channels now, regular tv looks better but it's an obvious difference from hi-def. I don't use the built in sound, I found it lacked the deeper sounds towards the bass side. I use a stereo surround reciever exclusively now. Seeing how great the picture was, I bought a Blu-Ray drive for the computer I now have connected to it. It is my first attempt at a home theatre PC running Windows Vista Media Center and regular DVD's look great but Blu-Ray is simply amazing! This TV is the best value for your money and this particular set has a few advantages over other DLP's with a LED light source that lasts probably the life of the TV and no spinning color wheel so one less moving part to worry about. I am very very happy with this TV and the Piano Black finish is slick looking

Strengths: Colors, clarity, controls & hook-ups!
Weaknesses: Hmmmmm, haven't really found one. Obviously the speakers are good, but not great - however, I utilize a surround sound system anyway so no big deal to me!
Summary: Okay, so I shopped around quite a bit for a large TV - fell in love with the DLPs but didn't want to fuss with the cost and pain of replacing the lightbulbs - then I found the LED type and decided I would check out reviews; they were all great so from there, I only had to find a seller. Found only 2 that had lower price than 6Ave (only $50.00 cheaper), but their reviews were really, really, really bad!! So I decided on this Samsung 61" DLP through 6Ave and will tell you now, I could not have made a better decision! Product is great!! When I hook up a new item, like a game system or picture disk, the TV finds it automatically and let's me edit the name so it all makes sense to me!! The controls and settings are great for movies, TV, games, etc. The picture-in-picture is enormous, but I have to utilize the one through the cable box which isn't so big. No problem though, all is well and after a week with this thing I am please all the way around. Samsung has always proved to be reliable and made with quality and now I found a new online store that I love - 6Ave. I sent and email and contacted the live chat (Richard) and recived professional replies - then I ordered, was given a delivery date, but ended up receiving it even earlier, that was great! And the delivery company they use is fantastic as well; friendly, professional and respectful. If this is any indication of what I can expect from 6Ave, then they have a new loyal customer!!! Oh, and I also ordered a couple of HDMI Monster cables - fantastic price and really quick delivery!! I surely recommend the products and the seller - BIG TIME! Thanks 6Ave!!

Strengths: 61# with slim bezel, X.V. Color w/ 3 HDMI 1.3 inputs, matte finish screen for virtually no glare, Full 1080P with 24P Capabilities, LED light engine should last 20yrs.
Weaknesses: Slight reflection in cabinet can be seen on 2.35 to 1 movies just above the image.
Summary: This TV is fantastic!! The color reproduction is great and is bright enough for the sunniest of rooms. This problem with 2.35 to 1 movies is slight but noticeable. I have no bowing or tilt in the image so I'm reluctant to call a tech to try and fix it. I might just zoom the image to fill the screen and problem solved. See if it bothers me in a few weeks. I would recommend this TV to friends after informing them of the slight issue.

Strengths: Great picture quality, quick startup, LED, size, pretty much everything
Weaknesses: The only thing I haven't had a chance to test is the closed captioning feature. I don't see it anywhere - I might be blind or something.
Summary: It's a great television and I've been using it for about a year now. Bought it on Buy.com for about $1500. I have had NO issues whatsoever. I love everything about it. The picture quality is great and everyone that comes over comments about how nice it is. Sports channels look great, no ghosting or any such issues. I have hooked up my Media Center to it (see attached images), and play games regularly. Again, no issues. Solid product. I recommend it highly!

Strengths: Picture quality. Number of inputs. Quality.
Weaknesses: Have not been able to pick up one of my HDTV over the air channels that I was able to on my previous set. But I did gain one channel that I could not pick up before
Summary: This television is the best bang for your buck that I could find. Purchased from Amazon for a great price and fast delivery. The set turns on quickly and has numerous picture adjustments for fine tuning. I recommend a DVD set-up disc to fine tune the picture as the picture was too vibrant upon the first use of the television. The only problem that I have had is with the sound. If you connect the optical output to a stereo and also use the TV sound (for center channel etc.) there is an echo. You need to turn down the TV sound to remedy the situation. I am happy with my purchase, you will be also.

Strengths: *amazing* 1080p quality. -sharp- as imaginable! color depth is beautiful! HUGE screen! its LCD-based lamp system will NEVER die on you - no replacing them every 2-4 years like other projection HDTVs.
Weaknesses: OK, so it doesn't have that fancy 120mhz refresh rate that some of your new expensive LCDs do. those LCD sets cost twice as much for good reason!
Summary: I knew the relative strengths and weaknesses about this product a long time before I actually purchased it. I spent a great deal of time researching what each of the technical specs of a HDTV set means - what I need, what I don't need, what I really want, etc... It seemed like DLP projection sets offer the best choice out of plasma, LCD & projection. That was my first decision. Once I was set on a DLP set, Samsung is the easy choice. I have always trusted Samsung for their absolutely eye-popping video monitors of any type. They fulfilled every hope I had with this HL61A750A HDTV.
"It's in the mirrors", as that old commercial said. DLP makes your picture quality look fantastic. As sharp as you can possibly imagine a large screen like this. 1080p sources let your screen shine.
Samsung fixed the biggest glaring error with almost every projection-based HDTV: the lights inside the box that actually project your image. Most projection lamps die in a matter of 2-3 years. Sure, it only costs $300 to replace your lamps every 3 or 4 years but who wants to deal with that issue to begin with? The 750A features LCD lamps for projection that should last on average, 10-15 years. I believe the stats said that the lights could literally stay on for 7 or 8 years, straight, if you never ever turned the TV off!
I think it's really silly how almost everyone goes with an LCD, or possibly a plasma these days. I'm pretty sure that most of them don't understand that they really don't have to buy an LCD screen to appreciate 1080p sources in all their possible glory. The only real weakness with a 'mere' DLP HDTV, in comparison to an LCD HDTV that literally costs twice as much? Refresh rate... So, if your #1 concern is console gaming, this 61" screen is your computer's main monitor - I guess it makes sense.
Otherwise, forget it! DLP HDTV has picture clarity, sharpness, detail, color depth that's 99.999% the quality of most LCDs. They cost half as much as LCDs. Now, this set in particular, doesn't die after 2-3 years because of a dead lamp.
In conclusion, you can turn $1500 into a 61" HDTV like this, or you can buy a 40" LCD. your choice!!

Strengths: LED DLP, 1080p, 120Hz, Less Heavy
Weaknesses: Speakers, Brightness Angle
Summary: Good Picture Quality depending on the HD Input Signal. Some compressed HD really look bad with pixelations. This might be because of the size (61"), compared to a Mitsubishi one (46") that I replaced. It is not really as bright from different angles as the Mits. CRT RPTV. The music when the TV is powered on/off is annoying. Btw, the speakers are on the bottom and need to pay extra attention while lifting the TV as as not to damage TV and the speakers. All-in-all good price for a big TV and am a satisfied customer so far the first few weeks.

Strengths: stunning picture
great inputs/menu
Weaknesses: none
Summary: the first tv delivered from BB had some issues, but a replacement tv works great.
ppl online are skeptical of buying the tv b/c of a tv reboot issue. Samsung has already released a firmare to fix the problem, which you can download from their website or call them and they will send you a thumbdrive with the firmware for free.
going from a sony WE-50655 that was lemoned, this tv is superb in everyway.
1080P blue ray compatible, hdmi. ease of setup.
i'd go for it. the prices have come down and it has phatlight technology for the LED's, so you can't go wrong.
lifetime LED versus changing out costly bulbs.
I wouldn't buy any $2k item without an extended wtty (paid off with the sony) so spring for that and you'll do fine.

Strengths: great picture, huge screen, blue light in the front, samsung link technology, usb updateable, usb wiselink to play songs or pictures, Tons of inputs
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is an excellent television for the price. I simply love it. The picture is great quality. There are many inputs in the back from hdmi, svideo, RCA and composites so that you can hookup many things to the television at once. The firmware is updateable via usb as samsung has already solved the restart issue with the television. I love to use the usb wiselink to pop in a thumb drive and view pictures of my new niece and kid on the huge screen. It is simply great. Definitely a great television and coming down in price every time i look at it!
