Strengths: Good Power, Easy to Clean, Solid Construction, Nice Looking, Stainless Steel, Great Dicer Attachment
Weaknesses: Only one, and it was me. See review for details.
Summary: I love this product and this is my second. It is well built, attractive, easy to clean, and sturdy. It is great for blending cream soups such as pumpkin or squash while they are still cooking in the pot. I wait till the veggies get soft and then twirl around the Hand Blender and it smooths it all out. Then it rinses off very easy. People are super impressed with my soups and I blame the hand blender for this.
I also really like the dicer attachment for chopping onions very small and quickly without having to cry, do manual labor, or having to drag out a knife and a cutting board for which I have no patience. You can also use that same attachment to crumb quickly oreo cookies or graham crackers to top ice cream. Oh, and did I mention you can even make bread crumbs with this gadget? Stick in pieces or old hard bread, whir away, and instant bread crumbs.
What you need to be weary of is sticking parts in the dishwasher that don't belong there. The black top of the dicer attachment got filled with water which I believe led to the demise of that attachment. Then you also need to make sure your attachments are attached properly so that you don't wear down the threading which led to the demise of the actual hand blender. I still heard the motor whirring, but nothing was moving. I'll be more careful of these things this time around.
This blender is not the cheapest, but I do swear by it. It makes up for it by far in the kitchen and all the neat things it can do.
