Strengths: Powerful while space-saving
Weaknesses: Controls not easy to access
Summary: This amp is awesome. I have it hooked to my 800w 15" MB Quart sub, and it simply pounds (especially in my tiny Golf). It's a sweet design (not too flashy) that I wouldn't mind displaying were it not for risk of theft, so I appreciate that its compact design allows it to be easily stowed away (under the passenger seat, in this case) without getting overly hot. The one problem with the design is that the controls are hidden away under the giant metal plate, which looks slick normally but makes it hard to adjust on the fly (during optimization, for example). The metal plate seems to act as something of a heat sink, since the fans are located directly below it, and once you have the levels set, the hiding of the buttons adds to the appearance. Overall, this amp rocks.

Strengths: Lots of power, hidden connectors, display on top.
Weaknesses: It is rated at 1000W but it is at 14.4V, most cars don't produce quite that much power, but it still puts out close to 1000W.
Summary: This amp is wonderful. The connectors are recessed and on the side so if you mount it in a custom box they are hidden, also the display on top is a nice touch. The amp is plenty powerful, and strong and sturdy as an ox. A lot better than those cheap-o "6000W" amps that some companies produce that last all of 10 minutes. A great amp, I will definately buy it again, and you should too!

Strengths: Size, Looks, Power Handling, Ice Blue Display Screen
Weaknesses: Weight (5kg), Only a speaker terminal for one sub woofer, meaning cramped if running 2 subs
Summary: After owning a Directed Audio 1500d mono block, rated at 1500w, claimed peak of 2400w (which was stolen, evil world), through insurance they offered me the Alpine amp as a replacement.

Although that I knew that 14.4v isn't easily achieved with standard car parts, I had no other choice but to except their offer as there was no alternative.

I installed the amp with Crunch 4awg, 1.0 f Autoleads power cap, and a Rockford P2 12" 200w sub.

Speechless. One good amp!

If you have the money and have a decent subwoofer (preferably an Alpine 12" Type X !!),I'd recommend this amp to anyone. Small, Slick and gets peoples jaw dropping.
