Strengths: Small size, Low price, Nice quality photos, very versatile
Weaknesses: Display screen smudges too easily. Of course most cameras do.
Summary: I have seen several good, and bad reviews on this camera. Now, I'm no expert photographer, but I do like to take unique, and nicely set pictures, especially on the fly. Now I think these people giving it bad reviews are maybe expert photographers who are used to the very latest super digital cameras with extremely high mega-pixels, or they just don't know how to use a camera. I still have an older Nikon Coolpix 4600 that has 4.0 mega-pixels, and it can take some very nice shots that impress many people. This newer S210 has twice the mega-pixels, (8.0), and much faster recharge rate on the flash. It also doesn't go through batteries so fast like the older one.

Bottom line: If you want to take some nice pictures, and even nice movies, this is a great camera. But please, like any other device, read the manual, experiment around with it, maybe take a digital camera class, just learn how to use all the features, and you won't be disappointed. I just wanted a nice camera, with good quality pictures, good battery life, and very compact design at a nice price. This was my choice. I didn't even know it could record movies with sound, until I got it home and started playing around with it. Still cooler is that it can take time lapsed pictures, and time lapsed movies.

1 Star ReviewBuy something else
Strengths: Low price, small size
Weaknesses: Poor picture quality, short battery life
Summary: This camera takes bad pictures, the battery dies quickly and camera shake is everywhere (VR does nothing). The images are grainy and blured. The colors are way off and the exposure is bad. There is no viewfinder and the lcd screen is small, low def, and hard to see in bright light. Don't buy this camera.

1 Star ReviewVery disappointed.
Strengths: Design Image options (scenes) Ease of use
Weaknesses: Image quality
Summary: I had to return this camera right out. The image quality in all settings (indoor, outdoor, low light) is very very poor, I was really dissappointed specially since this is a very good brand. I had to go back, return it and get a Canon Powershot 880IS instead, which delivers crisp images in all light settings.
