Strengths: Wide format support Weaknesses: None Summary: This SuperMulti drive supports all DVD/CD writing formats available today. I have not had any problems with the drive. Weaknesses: CD reading/writing speed is slower than competition. Summary: This is so far the best DVD burner made by LG. Probably the only one so far that support more formats than competitors. It is priced competitively below $100. Burn CD/DVD without problems. The only thing I dislike a little bit is its CD buring/writing capability. My Liteon CD burner can burn a 40x CD even at 52x, but LG only can do it at 40x. Also, for a 12x CDRW, Liteon can recognize full speed, while LG only recognize 10x. Guess upgrade current firmware from A101 to A103 will help, which I may do it later. Anyway, it's the best DVD burner out there in the market currently before Bluray or HD-DVD burners starting to become afforable. 56% of People (5/9) found this review helpful. You must remove any software left over from the other drives. Summary: Had lots of trouble installing unit. It crashed Windows XP with the error SYSTEM.EXE failed to start, had to reinstall Windows.
