Strengths: Sleek Design, Leopard, Great Battery Life
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I have been a PC user all my life, but I had to purchase this MacBook Pro notebook for my job in graphic design--I don't think I will ever switch back. First, the new OS Leopard, is incredible. Things like having multiple desktops and dashboard simply blew me away coming from using XP for so many years. The new trackpad is amazing as well. It allows you to zoom, scroll, go back and foward in browsers all with your fingers! This configuration is a beast too--allowing me to use Adobe CS3 with no problems at all.

A hot debate is whether to get the glossy or matte screen. Well it depends on what you are going to use the notebook for. If you're really only going to be gaming and watching videos on it, then get the glossy because it is so bright and vibrant. But if you want to do any serious photo-editing or art, then you must get the matte because the reflections from the glossy make it extremely frustrating to work in high detail and on dark works. Plus the glossy screen has color matching problems for when you go to print.

Strengths: Great student computer, fast processor, large HD, LED backlighting, large cache, good graphics card.
Weaknesses: A bit expensive.
Summary: This computer is very good for both students and professionals. Although it is a bit expensive, it is well-powered and has great specs. If you're willing to invest an extra $80 or so to buy 4 GB of RAM to upgrade, it can be even more powerful. I've been using Macbook Pros almost since they've been released, and I can honestly say they are very reliable computers that tackle all sorts of programs with ease.

Strengths: coming from a pc with xp, the mac is real easy to move around in and fast! no anti virus! Nice to work with pic as well. software easy to use and works well. mine does not have the 250 gig hard drive
Weaknesses: needs to have some kind of office program on it....I was told it would read stuff from mic office sent to you but no! you can't right click by hitting right side of strip have to use 2 fingers and cli
Summary: Over all it is what they say it is and easy to use. I like the little user hints I sighned up for they are helpful. I like the 17" screen glad I got it.
