Weaknesses: Graphics Summary: The Romance of the Three Kingdoms series has been going on for a while now. Based on Chinese history, you get to play as one of hundreds of players in the war. You can be a foot soldier, general, or ruler... it's all up to you! The higher up in rank you go, the more you control in the game. Depending on your previous exposure to the franchise, this may quickly become overwhelming. Deciding what stats to improve upon, when to expand, and when to just sit back are just a few of the multitude of decisions you'll make each turn. The Three Kingdoms franchise has never been known for its graphical prowess, and this game is no exception. The graphics are very 8-bit reminiscent. Overall, this is a very complex & involving game. You get to play as one of 535 characters (yes you read that correctly!) scattered throughout the three kingdoms of ancient China. Depending upon how high ranking you are, you'll have more and more responsibilities and tasks to perform. Be warned! Choosing the highest ranks makes the game extremely complicated, and it'll take you hours and hours just to figure out what's going on, much less to figure out how to actually make your kingdom thrive; in some ways, it blends the most complicated parts of games like Sim City, The Sims, and Age of Empires.
