Strengths: Ease of installation / connection with existing factory radio.
Weaknesses: Logic between units gets "mixed-up" sometimes requires you disconnect electicity to reset.
Summary: This is the second unit I have owned. Both were installed in 2002 Toyota Corolla CE sedans. Both had intermittant logic errors with factory unit. HOWEVER, ERROR COULD BE IN THE FACTORY UNIT OR IN THE ADDED CD PLAYER!!! I do not know the source of the error, only what it takes to re-set everything - you pop the hood and pull the [headliner light] fuse and reinstall same. Keep a pair of small, needle-nosed pliers in the glovebox to assist with this task because the fuse is a tight fit. On the first unit I purchased, the eject mechanism would start cycling without actually ejecting the disc. This would continue with car running or stopped, radio on or off, until the fuse was pulled. Very annoying, but not as much as paying $500 for a factory player. The second unit was installed in a second Corolla about 1 year ago. It will occasionally forget it exists and will refuse to energize when a CD is inserted. Again, pulling the fuse and re-inserting will reset the electrics and all will be well again. Much better than the eject cycling of first unit. Units are no more sensitive than other factory units when you drive over rough patches of pavement. They will occasionally skip in this circumstance. The sound is as good as factory unit in my Buick with no noticeable distortion from the player itself. Yes, I would purchase another unit because the cost savings overrides the occasional annoyance of cutting the power so system combination can reset itself.
