Strengths: Shape, amplified, reception
Weaknesses: Mounting hardware and instructions
Summary: This antenna is working great for receiving HDTV over the air. I'm getting 5 channels at 100% signal strength and all I did was place it on top of some beams in my attic. I tried mounting it under an eave outside the house but height was more important than indoor/outdoor when it came to signal strength. The guys at RadioShack were swearing that I needed a 1950's antenna with a motorized rotator to get good HDTV reception. I'm glad this antenna works so well because its profile requires a lot less space and makes it much easier to work with. It comes with an amplifier that definitely helped the signal strength in my case. I found the mounting hardware a little hard to work with when I was trying to mount it under the eave of my roof. Considering that I'm trying to balance myself on a steep pitched roof, I didn't appreciate how I had to unbolt the antenna from the adjustable bracket when trying to aim it for reception because the screw that tightened the adjustable bracket was in the middle of the slot where the antenna bolt attached. The mounting hardware that comes with the antenna allows for plenty of different mounting options, but the manual only illustrated a couple and not the one I was trying. I paid $99 at Best Buy. I know it's cheaper online, but it was convenient to get it local in case it didn't work well.
