Strengths: USB key input slot
Modern look
Weaknesses: EQ settings may take some time to get used to if you want on-the-fly adjusting
Summary: Purchased this unit in addition to the external HD tuner add-on to replace another JVC that didn't have a USB key nor HD Radio. This was the reason for upgrading to this unit. HD radio does sound cleaner though I wasn't as impressed the first time it tuned in. Lots of hype but it is good technology in the right direction. The HD radio station's signal does sound like CD quality. When the stereo indicator disappears and the HD indicator lights up, you can hear a difference; the volume decreases slightly and the music sounds more lifelike. All in all, it's worth it (HD radio) and you get additional stations too. The USB key slot is perfect; no more burning mp3's to disk and worry about running out of songs so soon. I'm using a typical USB key and the unit's display shows all of the song's tag info. I am very pleased with this purchase and have favored JVC dash units for a long time.
