1 Star Reviewdisappointment
Strengths: comfortable to wear, price was right
Weaknesses: poor sound quality, hard to find on off button, one size ear bud
Summary: No one can hear me when I use the BT2020. Never had a problem with Jabra BT500, until the last one would not charge up. And now with this one, I have major sound issues. Everyone sez I sound muffled or as in a vacuum or breaking up. Never clear quality. Altho comfortable to wear - which is why I keep going back to them, once I lose them or no longer chargable, the on/off button is almost impossible to find. The covered battery charger input is a pain to deal with. Even at the loudest volume, I have a hard time hearing my call. It only came with the round earbud....not the more pointy one whcih almost sticks IN your ear, making it easier to hear with.

Strengths: Sleek ergonomic unobtrusive design. Very compact and lightweight. Very good battery life, one charge can operate it for days. Rapid charging from 'zero to hero' in about 2 hours.
Weaknesses: Sound quality could be better, some static and crackling but not too bad. Button controls can take a while to familiarize. No indicator lights so a bit difficult to tell if the unit is on or off?
Summary: 2008-10-16 23:36:00 The Jabra BT2020 is certainly not the "cream of the crop" as far as Bluetooth Headsets go. There are some obvious weaknesses this unit unfortunately conveys - most of which is only evident when caparing to competing devices 2 or 3 times more costly. Nevertheless, the good does overweigh the bad as I can honestly say after using the BT2020 for almost 2 weeks now.

Jabra certainly didn't plan on setting a new benchmark with the BT2020. It probably wouldn't be too difficult to find another bluetooth headset which can outperform the BT2020. However, to find something better in this price range, suddenly transforms the BT2020 into a shining star! Top that off with a sleek, discrete design which seems to almost disappears when tucking it behind your ear makes it even better! Two thumbs way up for this!!! Really ... who wants to look like a "space dork" with a huge contraption around your ear flashing a bright blue light every 2 seconds?! No thanks!

Overall, the BT2020 really is a very good buy - as long as you can get over the minor things, which really doesn't seem all that bad when you begin to consider the very reasonable price for a BT2020.

3 Star ReviewBreak from the norm...
Strengths: Smaller than you think (very thin). More comfortable than most. VERY long battery life. Std. USB mini charger.
Weaknesses: Not intuitive. Awkward to put on ear at first and take time to get use to. I agree...a little on the quiet side. Phone only recognizes unit as 'headset' rather than specific details.
Summary: Well, I have read all the other reviews on other sites and was quite skeptical as well. However, Staples was having a sale and I had a coupon on top of that so it was not alot of money to take a chance. Like most Bluetooth users, we are on a quest to locate a comfortable functional, reliable, easy to use headset with little to no distortion. Given the radical difference in shape, I decided to give it a try. In the packaging, the headset looks enormous...not so. While longer than most to accomodate a very large battery reserve, it is very thin and I would dare say about half the thickness of most typical over the ear models. This one instead sits along the side of your head with a small 'ear bud' that is not shoved down your ear canal...instead, you hear the voices similar to how you would hear a speaker phone. It is very light. With the sound being directed to your ear rather than inside, the volume is a little on the weak side. However, the design hides the fact that you are even wearing one.

I tried using the piece by going the next room while having my phone in another room but unfortunately, the reception sharply decreased when compared to other headsets.

The buttons like voice dial, redial, etc. are counter-intuitive and unlike most...for example, I have to tap it twice to get voice dial, once will only redial the last number, and if you hold it in for too long, your headset will turn off. So take some time getting use it.

One thing Jabra did right was to get rid of its proprietary a/c plug and move to the universally accepted USB format (in this case, USB mini...other of their models have the harder to find micro).

While not perfect and has shortcommings, it is comfortable, lasts a long time on a single charge and is relatively inexpensive right now.

2 Star Reviewan average buy
Strengths: I like the design that you don't have to stick the earpiece in the ear canal. It's similar to the plantronics 510.
Weaknesses: sound is not good when talking on the phone, people on the other end complain about not hearing me fine. i am able to hear them alright though.
Summary: I had this for nearly 2 months now. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Also it's similar to plantronics 510 but not as stable on the ear.
