Strengths: Handy, sleek and very easy to use, touch screen
Weaknesses: can be made bit lighter than present
Summary: I have found this one to be very good and very ease to use. Very good for beginners. The touch screen facility removes almost all the functionality through buttons, which in-turn reduces the wear&tear of the parts

Strengths: Compact, comes with the docking station
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Sony’s DCR-HC42 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder is very good product for the people who want good handy cam at average price. This is compact in size and easy in use. The touch screen functions are great and very usefull.

Strengths: Great picture quality in day light and handy to use in normal size hand
Weaknesses: During Dark light picture quality is not good.
Summary: Great camcoder for the mid level users and medium price range. Great picture and sound quality during normal light. In Dark light, picture looks like block and white picture. Handy with memory slot for the 12X zoom.

Great quality for the medium price.
