Strengths: Great picture for the money when in HD. Philips company is there to answer any question any time. Would buy a philips just for that reason.
Weaknesses: the HDMI and the DVI you can not connect with the comcast cable HD box. not copatible. must use the HD hookup that comes with the philips tv .
Summary: Love the people at philips helped me out so much. The major problen is that the HDMI hookup is not compatible with the HD cable box. You must use the HD cable that comes with the tv,but then all the other stations for some reason go to the 4.3 picture...So the cable man was at my house and we have it hooked up but now its not in true HD...picture is good but I think if you have the dish you will have the HDMI to HDMI for the best picture. Its not the tv its how you hook it up...crazy yes

Strengths: Awesome clarity. Great picture and brightness. A good set of input options. Wall bracket is included.
Weaknesses: I haven't really found any yet when compared to the other LCD's.
Summary: I shopped around for a while, but didn't find anything that was comparable for the price. Be sure to inspect the box carefully before opening, if bought from J&R. I had to send the first one back due to a large whole in the box. You will definitely enjoy this purchase.

1 Star ReviewTotal garbage!
Strengths: Would make a good boat anchor
Weaknesses: Poor manual, defective factory cables, poor viewing angle, worst customer service I've ever experienced!
Summary: Defective cables supplied with set. Had sporadic problems with tuner right out of the box. Just out of warranty ( 1 year) LCD screen burned out. Philips wanted $4500.00 for part alone This is for a set that retailed for $1800.00. Philips would make absolutely no concession on the price, nor offer an incentive on another set. Do yourself a favor and buy a Sharp or a Sony. I'm sorry I didn't do this in the first place. I gave it a one star rating because there was no "zero" option.

1 Star ReviewLCD Screen Burned Out!! 2 Years.
Strengths: I loved the LCD HD as a gamer and movie watcher.
Weaknesses: LCD screen burned out!!! $1800 WASTED!
Summary: I have to agree with the fellow above whose LCD screen burned out. This TV was top of the line 2 years ago when i bought it, still performed great up until 2 days ago. Hardly any wear and tear, no pets, no smoked, nice clean home and took great care of the TV. Then the LCD screen simply FIZZLED and the video is dead as can be. No warranty coverage as usual. I thought this was name-brand stuff, philips has lost a buyer. BOOHOO. :P
