Strengths: Adds lots of I/O to the front panel of your PC, and includes two SATA connectors to allow you to use SATA's hotplugging capability.
Weaknesses: All connectors are pass through only, so each front panel connector requires an available connector either inside or on PC back. For USB, 1 needed for reader, 2 needed for 2 front panel connections.
Summary: Nice idea, but they goofed on the implementation. All I/O on the front is pass through from a cable in the rear of the card. There should have been only one USB cable needed. Instead, there are 3 USB cables, and a serious mess of other cables (3 USB, 2 SATA, 3-in-1 audio, video pass through, firewire, power, 2 temperature sensors, 2 fan power I/O) to route through the PC. You will need 3 unused USB ports available to use all of the USB functionality on this product. Had problems with noise with the SATA pass through connection. The SATA drive works fine going direct to the MB and using external power. With XP, it found the reader fine and then loaded locations for *4* removable drives (F:, G:, H:, I:). That was not cool. In the end, I removed it from the PC. There are other alternative out there by Koutech and a few others that may do better.
