1 Star ReviewStay away from Sceptre
Strengths: Lots of features, bright, crisp display
Weaknesses: Not built to last
Summary: At first I loved this monitor - it had a bright, clear display, multiple connection possibilities, built in speakers, etc. But like others, mine died a quick death, this time only a month after the warranty expired. Stay away from this company.

1 Star ReviewSuperb monitor at a moderate price
Strengths: very bright, high contrast, high resolution, all sorts of connectors
Weaknesses: died within a week
Summary: 2005-08-31 09:45:48 Got this monitor and love it. It features 1600x1200 resolution, giving enough space for my large spreadsheets and picture editing. The color is very bright and vivid. The response time is 16ms according to manufacturer's product description. I don't notice lagging when watching HDTV (from a tuner card in the computer) on it.

There are also connectors for S-Video and RCA video on the back though I have not tried them yet. This monitor also features picture in picture, according to the manual.

I found one stuck pixel on mine.

After a couple of days using, mine has been proved defective. It makes short blackouts (1 ~ 2 seconds) frequently, sometimes every 5 seconds. No connectors are loose, its power cord is plugged into a UPS. I tried it on two computers (one PC and one Mac), and tried both DVI and analog VGA inputs, the same results. It seems a problem of the backlight lamp.

After last update, a couple of days passed. The blackouts became longer and longer. Now the monitor is dead.

Strengths: Contrast and brightness
Weaknesses: No height adjustment
Summary: 2005-08-18 21:01:04 A GREAT monitor at a bargin price. I have this display for my home workstation. At work I have a 20" Dell display which cost more and doesn't compare to the Sceptre.

Strengths: Bright Sharp Picture(1600 x 1200) at a great price($600) with a lot of versatility.
Weaknesses: Would have been perfect with a remote control and firewire.
Summary: I was looking for a> 20" monitor that would work with my Mac and PC for graphics and work as a TV/video monitor with Picture In Picture and the Naga II fit the bill and the budget. It has S-video, DVI and VGA inputs. It also has a small USB hub. It makes a great monitor and an incredible TV for the bedroom except for the lack of a remote. Manuevering through the menus is a little time consuming but you get used to it. I would have loved to have a firewire hub too but I can live without that. I have my VCR/cable running right into the RCA inputs. Bottom line: you will not find more features in a monitor for under $600.

Strengths: Phenomenal size & wide aspect, HD quality static and motion video.
Weaknesses: Forget even plugging in the speakers, tin box sounding, keep your own 5.1 setup.
Summary: I have been using a 19" Sceptre Komodo for 2 years now with not a problem, so this was a no-brainer. When hooked up to the DVI cable on my new Media Edition PC the picture is true HD, I can't tell the difference between this and my big screen HD Sony! This is an amazing deal at this price and it's even worth it without the rebate. For $359.00 you can have this or drop $800+ on a "major" name brand... I'll stick with my Sceptre. GO BUY THIS NOW!!!
