 I Should have listened to the Bose Haters Strengths: Easy to hook up and do not take up much room

Summary: Before I purchased this set I read all the Bose haters reviews. I thought I got a great deal by purchasing them on sale for $699. My thought was that if I had a really good receiver they would sound great. So I purchased a Yamaha HTR-5890 Receiver
(7.1 Channels, 140 W/Channel, 0.7% THD, Supports 10 Devices - MPN: HTR5890) They were very easy to hook up and look good in my prewired room. The problem is they sound just OK. They are nothing to brag about. The high notes are not as high as they should be and the base is week. But even though I am not happy with the way they sound I can live with it and am not sure I could have found anything better for the price. If you have unlimited funds and are not (like me) on a Wal-Mart budget, buy something else.
