Strengths: The picture quality is very good. Printed photos up to 5X7 are as good as my high end camera. VERY easy to operate and software is great and easy to learn.
Weaknesses: When first powered on after purchase, you have to make a few set-ups including selecting higher resolution because it will default to lower for some reason. This could cause user dissatisfaction.
Summary: I bought this for an "extra" camera. Due to the 4200's size, weight, ease of operation, great software, and nice pictures, we have started using it almost exclusively!

Thanks Kodak for FINALLY giving us what we needed.

3 Star ReviewIf you just want a camera that you can send pictur ...
Strengths: It has fairly good quality images. Not bad for a $150 2MP camera. Optional docking station makes USB connection easy as well as recharging.
Weaknesses: only 16mb internal memory although there is a mmc slot. Grainy and subpar lcd. You get what you pay for!
Summary: If you just want a camera that you can send pictures to friends or casual use then get one of these. If you want a descent camera that will be used fairly often save up for a sony one. My more expensive sony has better quality at 2.1MP and a way better LCD. I got my Kodak as a gift. It came as a gift package with 10cd-rs, a 32mb mmc card, some glossy printer paper, and some photo coupons. Not bad for about $150. These cameras make a great inexpensive gift for your average camera user.

Strengths: This is a great camera for the money. It is extremely easy to use, even for the beginner. Best of all, you can find it at your local Wal-Mart and can return it if you have any problems.
Weaknesses: Although the resolution on this camera is very good, it is not intended for professional photos. For emailing photos this camera works great and the pictures print to photo quality as well.
Summary: This is a great camera for the money. Most people do not understand that 2.0 megapixels is more than enough to print photo-quality pictures. There is only a 2x zoom and very few other additional features, however, I was looking for a digital camera that was cheap and easy to operate. That is exactly what I got, and I have been very pleased thus far. Lastly, as with any digital camera, a memory card will need to be purchased separately.

Strengths: Inexpensive. Very easy to use.
Weaknesses: Pictures look grainy. You get what you pay for. Not recomended for printing. Just for emailing pics.
Summary: You get what you pay for. My friend has a Sony 2.1 megapixel camera and she paid $300 for it. My $150 Kodak CX4200 is a 2.0 megapixel. I thought it would be comparable in quality. The more expensive Sony is 10X better!
