Strengths: superior color. almost hurts your eyes. very easy to decipher how to get the best image and sound using simple, intuitive menus. built-in speakers sound pretty good.
Weaknesses: comes with a power cord and computer cable, no other cables. surprising lack of a card reader or even usb for viewing photos. have to use my cameras' cables which depletes their batteries. gets hot.
Summary: Wow! Not a modest investment, but well worth it. My first foray into anything remotely decent to watch. Tried it with multiple media sources including DVD, camcorder, digital camera, and laptop. Almost made me want to work on business projects after seeing my spreadsheets and powerpoint decks in amazing color. Still leaning against a wall while I decide where to wall-mount it. My biggest concern was whether this had built-in speakers. Even the BOSE guy thought it didn't. After it was clear that I was ready to buy, he did some checking and found that it did have speakers. They sounded pretty good. Noticed that I could feel a lot of heat from 2 inches in front and right above the rear vents. I expected no heat since my only reference point is my flat panel computer screen which I run all day. It stays cool. Got research fatigue after 8 weeks of shopping. Trusted the brand name and felt that I picked a winner after just a couple of days. Hard to watch conventional TV now. No regrets.

Strengths: Great picture quality.
Weaknesses: Lack of some connectors
Summary: Doesnt have a coaxial connection for cable.

I never watched discovery channel until now. I subscribed to Discovery HD Theater and WOW! The picture is incredible. When they show the fish, it looks like an aquarium and not a TV! This is awesome. The speakers produce great sound. My AV guy wouldnt believe that I didnt have my surround system on!
