Strengths: Wonderfully beautiful graphics. Phenominal Gameplay. Endless fun with multiplayer. NO MAP LOAD TIMES.
Weaknesses: Likes powerful hardware. No co-op.
Summary: OK, the dark picture problem is an NVIDIA thing. Turn up the brightness. the new maps make it so worth it. I loved the XBOX version and I love this. I will be forking over the $$ as soon as I see it on the shelves. I had no problems with it 1024x768 all effects up full. Know some other people who are playing with it with good fps with same settings.
Gearbox redid the graphics to include lots of visual effects. Play the game to see them. The are incredible.
I really think you all should give this game a try. If you liked Halo on XBOX or you like First person shooters, this game is for you. I know I will definately get $50 worth of this game in very short order.

Strengths: the graphics owned, dont believe anyone that says they sucks cuz they are running it on a crappy video card, the storyline was the same so i wont get into that but overall the game just kicked arse!
Weaknesses: demanding on your system unless you are fortunate enough to have a damn good video card
Summary: the only reason why im writing this to rant on how freakin awesome this game is because i saw a person by the name of 100pct dissing the game based on his 32mb crap card not loading. well of course it's not gonna load it or take an insanely long time. I have a p4 2.4ghx, geforceFX256mb video card, and 512 mb ddr ram running under win98SE and i have no problems. anywho enough with my ranting and i would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND this game to anyone who is a fan of shooters and good games in general, but make sure your system can run it first^_^

Strengths: Good AI, Nice level design, outstanding multiplayer.
Weaknesses: Repetitive level design, high system recommended, Good graphics card is highly recomended
Summary: 2003-11-16 15:35:39 Halo is a straight forward Fps, which is more of a Rambo style, but using your head at times. Halo's AI is outstanding the enemies will either dodge your gun fire, and grenades, or run and take cover to call there allies. The level design is superb, Bungie created a living breathing planet which is rare feat in most games. The multiplayer is 16 player supported. The ability to use vehicles in online mode brings a new level of strategy. At times the game gets slow and freezes in areas, this game needs a very good system to run, or you won't enjoy the visuals it has to offer. In some areas the levels look the same and can be frustrating at times for you sometimes find yourself at the same place you just came from. Halo’s Strengths clouds its weaknesses giving it a recommended game for the hardcore fps player.

Summary: 2003-10-28 17:53:45 Whoever said a game like halo does not belong on PC is wrong. Guess what halo was orriganly out for, uhhhh PC. It wasnt until Gates threw his money around that he had it pulled off the market and used as an X-Box exclusive.

Strengths: Impressive graphics, unique gameplay and vehicles, great music, addictive multiplayer.
Weaknesses: Lack of co-operative multiplayer mode, single-player is repetitive at times.
Summary: All in all, this is a great game. Coming out to the PC, this game has gotten new weapons and improved graphics. The plot is great in my opinion, interesting but not too involved. Also, its multiplayer is impossible to top - with vehicles, up to 16 people per game, new multiplayer weapons, and highly customizable game modes.
I have a P4 1.3Ghz, 256MB RAM, and a 32MB GeForce 2, and I am able to run it smoothly at 800x600. Obviously, one needs a good video card for great visuals, but with my card, the visuals were also very good, at least for the card I was running it on. Do not worry what previous people have said - Halo does not have very steep game requirements.
Go and buy Halo, you won't regret it!

And it runs great, try running it in vsync. I admit, the detail isnt as great as XBOX version, but its still a great game, and you can buy a radeon 9600 pro for around 130-140 dollars, not much for my pocket book, dont know about yours.

Strengths: Online play rules!
Weaknesses: Campains are boring compared to multiplayer.
You need a good computer to play.
Crazy clan players that dominate the multiplayer games.
Summary: Overall has to be one of the best FPS out there. The online community is huge right now so don't delay order now. Graphics and sound are awesome! You can only hold 2 weapons at once so choose wisely.

Summary: 2003-09-05 23:09:50 you are all dumbasses for reviewing a game that isn't even out yet for pc and yes the graphics can be bad cuz of your video card but can also be the graphics engine but halos engine is GREAT!so graphics should be fine unless you plan on playing this game with a 32 mb card. so Vordoen you n00b you need to learn more about things before you just open your mouth and say things! and i have a weakness for you Vordoen HALO can have some bad frame rates while single player. and one more thing Vordoen my pc owns yours! -scaVenger-

Summary: 2003-07-02 15:10:25 I love this game. A Shooter taking place on Halo. Being on an actual planet body is the perfect thing to make this the best game ever. It may be a little bloody and gory... but thats how it would actually be if you shot someone in the head! The blood is just realistic, not put there to add some evil fun. I give this product a 100 thumbs up!!!

Strengths: good ultiplayer options, usage of vehicicles is ok, singleplayer is ok
Weaknesses: vehicicle control could be better and its a dark game
Summary: when i first saw the game i thought it rocks. but when i bought it it whas even better than i thought i like the multiplayer style!!! :P it's easy. it rocks!!!

Strengths: it has great graohics and the multiplayer is awesome. best shooting game i played so far. i also like the story and the intro to the game. i also love the sniper rifle.
Weaknesses: since i played it on pc i couldn't play it againgst people i know. the only way i could do that is if they bought the game and put it on their comp.
Summary: i liked it a lot. i wish the people who made halo for pc would make halo 2 for the pc also. if you like shooter games then i suggest this would be a good video game to buy.

Summary: I dont have the game yet but im readin reviews and ppl r screwin this up ... theres a difference between the games release date in ur area (Ex. Oct) and others ppls areas release date (Ex. Sept)the official release date was sept.30 (go 2 microsoft.com)"Halo for Windows Storms Store Shelves Sept. 30"(from microsoft.com)and the grafics cant be worse than xbox cuz xbox basicaly is a coumputer u just need better vidio cards. the game looks awsome though and im gunna buy it soon.

 If you have played Soldier of Fortune and QuakeIII ... Strengths: Intro cinematics were cool.
Weaknesses: Demands too much PC resources. Graphics are clumsy and response to controls has a few mSeconds delay. Realism is totally missing here. It looks like a pretty old game. Well, it is coming from XBox.
Summary: If you have played Soldier of Fortune and QuakeIII Arena, don't even try this. You will be way disappointed. It is a real shock for me to find out a Microsoft product so bad, so primitive for this times, so childish. They have a “LONG” way to go before they get to, at least, be able to compare to QuakeIII Arena or Soldier of FortuneII.

 Please ignore all the other reviews, this game was ... Strengths: None, it wont even load on my 2.4Ghz, 1Gb RAM + 32Mb graphics system :(
Weaknesses: graphics requirements
Summary: Please ignore all the other reviews, this game wasnt even released until October, so anyone posting reviews in Aug and Sept is just DUMB.
You need some incredible graphics hardware to get this game to even load, let alone play. I managed to borrow a hi end (128Mb graphics card) and it would load, but frame rate, and play was totally unacceptable.
If anyone finds a graphics card that plays this at an acceptable frame rate, please post your machine spec.
