Strengths: Value for money
Weaknesses: 1GB of RAM
Summary: Bought this from Office Depot as they had it on clearance. This is not my primary laptop but as a secondary one, it has everything I need. Most likely will be used by my kids more than me so they don't need high end processor or graphics, etc. This will allow them to do their homework, check email, use the internet, watch DVD's, etc. Very happy with it so far. No problems getting it set up and getting on line through my router.

Strengths: Low Price, Light Weight for 15.4" Laptop, Bright Screen, Good Performance (w/2GB Ram)
Weaknesses: None (Considering the low cost of the Laptop)
Summary: This Laptop is perfect for Web Browsing and basic microsoft office tools. I would recommend upgrading the RAM to 2 GB as VISTA is also with 1 GB. It takes only removing 2 screws to change the ram and I did that in 10 mins. Since then it has been working extremely good. For under $450 @ Staples (after rebate) this is the best laptop you can get.

Strengths: great deal, cheap and quite fast for the price
Weaknesses: 1 gb ram (easily upgradable)
Summary: on sale at staples, then used a $30 of $150 coupon bought on ebay. saved money there. then came w/ a free hp printer after rebate. so will pay $430 including printer. can't beat that. lappy is quite fast for only 1 gb ram, burns dvd's etc. 120 gb h.d. Looks pretty. great deal for anyone looking for a basic laptop. AMD processor works fine for everyday tasks, i'm running windows aero and gadgets and it is still plenty fast, even w/ 1 gb ram. hopefully it stays this good! go buy it!

Strengths: inexpensive, light weight, nice screen, good performance, dedicated video processor, integrated card reader
Weaknesses: none for this price
Summary: purchased this laptop quite inexpensive (under $600 budget), really nice built quality. You get good enough performance out the box, for web browsing, presentation and etc. It burns DVD and has DEDICATED VIDEO PROCESSOR. I'm not gaming much, but this is much better than those on-board video units.
Overall, i would say it's such an amazing price for a solid laptop if you are not a video editing or heavy gaming person.

Strengths: Great value for the money, lightweight for a 15" notebook hence very portable
Weaknesses: not the best performance
Summary: a perfect budget laptop for either personal use, like web-serfing, or business use, like presentation and etc. Its weight is quite good consider it has a 15.4" screen. The performance is not the best like Apple or IBM, but pretty decent for the price. The screen looks nice too.

Strengths: Affordable. Dual core. 15.4" LCD. Nvidia GeForce.
Weaknesses: 1GB RAM. HP's bad customer service.
Summary: This is very nice low-budget laptop. 15.4-inch WXGA high-definition LCD screen gives very sharp graphic, along with NVidia GeForce 7000M graphic card. Usually low-budget laptops are equipped with chip intel graphic card, but this laptop has NVidia GeForce. Though it is not a top-notch graphic card, but I'm much satisfied with results considering the price of the machine. Its CPU is AMD, but built with dual-core architecture and the Vista index is satisfactory. 1GB RAM is too small to run Vista Home Premium. As up to 287MB of the RAM is occupied by the graphic card, the actual available capacity is smaller. Memory upgrade is highly recommended, if you run several applications at the same time.

Strengths: It is really portable and easy to carry. Has bright screen. Well built!
Weaknesses: 1GB ram is kind of small. May need upgrade in the future
Summary: It is great laptop considered the price tag. I used this for daily work and watching movie and burn CDs. I can do pretty much everything I'm doing on my desktop. Not for gamer though. 1GB RAM is small for Vista. You may need memory upgrade.

HP has a bad service
Strengths: New, have not test yet
Weaknesses: Bad service
Summary: HP ask $20 for restore disk. Most other company will ask you burn your own restore CD but will send you a restore CD for free. HP will not send you free CD unless you pay $20.

Strengths: Good price, fast processor
Weaknesses: case is not good as pavilion
Summary: The laptop is a budget laptop. The price is good compared with other core 2 duo laptops. It is enough for many applications except you are doing video and graphics editing work. The AMD processor in the laptop is fast, it give me higher vista score than Intel Dual core with same clock speed. I am very happy with it.

Strengths: Price is right, Excellent screen, weight - very reasonable
Weaknesses: All sorts of trial software slows down the system
Summary: The computer boots relatively fast. My first boot took less than a half hour and works well for the 1G memory installed. Windows software with Vista are trial software. Image quality is great, processor's temperature is fine. Uninstalled the HP tial software, Vista performance improved dramatically.
Overall for the price I am pleased with the Laptop.

Strengths: Fast dual core, dvd burner, wireless
Weaknesses: memory is small
Summary: The laptop comes with 1.9GHz AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor. It is faster than my prevoius Pentium M processor. It suprised me that the vista gives this processor a much higher score than Intel 's dual core processor in my another laptop while someboday told me Intel dual core is faster. The memory definitely needs to be upgraded to 2GB or 3GB. If you are lucky, you can get a laptop with 1 stick 1GB, otherwise there are 2 sticks 512MB inside so you need to replace both of them. I am happy with the laptop.
