Strengths: - Performance - Price - Screen - WiFi N (Intel 4965AGN) - Bluetooth - Weight
Weaknesses: - Ethernet (Marvell Yukon) - Layout of power and external monitor connectors
Summary: I can not believe that I got this notebook for only $600. Most notebook computers in this price range are using slower cpu (not even C2D). Of course, I have to upgrade the memory, but it only costed me extra $25. This notebook is pretty portable even it comes with a 15.4" screen. It is not heavy at all. The screen is really good. The built-in bluetooth is a big plus if you have bluetooth enabled devices, like cell phone, headset, mouse, and keyboard.

I am not a gamer so the integrated video card (Intel X3100) does not bother me at all. However, I do not know why Sony did not use Intel or Broadcom chip set for the Ethernet. The power cord is located next to the dvd recorder. It blocked the dvd tray when I opened it several times. The external monitor connector is in the middle of left side. I guess Sony assumes people will use HDMI connector, which is more close to the screen at the back, but it is not on my notebook.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase and would recommend any one who wants a portable computer with a good screen size and decent performance.

Strengths: Excellent 15.4" display. 160gb hard drive. Decent looks.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I have been using this laptop since last couple of weeks. This has core 2 duo processor which is fast enough for most users. 160GB hard disk space provides good space to store pics, songs and data files. I love vista premium though I wish laptop had 2GB memory. DVD writer works nice too.

So far I'm very happy with this purchase. Recommended!!

Strengths: Duo Processor...Wireless N...Bluetooth...Thin and light
Weaknesses: Needs more Ram
Summary: I purchase this computer in January and use it quite a bit for my job and it has been a lot better than the HP that I was supplied with before. I did upgrade the Ram to 2GB and that made a huge difference in the time to boot up and use of multiple programs at one time. Overall it was a great buy and upgrading the Ram to 2GB olny costed me $60.

Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is a great notebook loaded with Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, dual layer dvd burner, wireless a/b/g/n, bluetooth, webcam, Windows Vista Home Premium. The notebook is relatively light weight comparing to other brands. Sony has stylish design and solid built quality.

Strengths: Dual core processor, great screen, great feature set
Weaknesses: Not enough RAM
Summary: Needs upgraded RAM. It runs great after RAM upgrade and removal of extra software I don't intend to use. It's great for Skype. Even better for websurfing and text processing. It's not a gaming machine so don't expect to game on this other than the simple 2D games. Slim and light means very portable.

Strengths: Core 2 Duo Processor enables better multitasking, bright screen, great aesthetics, great power management.
Weaknesses: Only 1Gb RAM, No HDMI Out. Preinstalled AOL junk.
Summary: Great laptop for the price! It certainly could use more RAM. I upped the RAM to 1.5Gb and it was a lot smoother. Will upgrade to 3Gb to max it out for Vista. The preinstalled softwares are mostly trials, so I have no use for them.
