 As a matter of fact, stay away from Aiwa products ... Strengths: Wow flashy colors
Weaknesses: Don't buy Aiwa, customer service is terrible
Summary: As a matter of fact, stay away from Aiwa products all together. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I purchased the CDC-X227 radio in Feb 03. I noticed from the day I installed it that it didn't play CD-RW's as advertised. Next I discovered that it didn't play regular, store bought CD's either. By now it was past Best Buy's 30 day return policy so I was forced to send it into an authorized service center. It's now been there for 2 months because a part is on back order. Today I was told that it will be another month. I have called everyone involved with my radio but no one can offer a return or an exchange (Even after stating that I will never use any of their products or stores again).To give you a idea how long this has been going on, think about this....since I bought this radio the United States has conquored a country and liberated the people of Iraq. In all this time, Aiwa can't replace a friggin laser in my CD player or offer an exchange. So for your sake, stay away from a potential disaster and buy your products from another company.
