Strengths: crystal clear treble sound
Weaknesses: it doesn't pack much bass.
Summary: i am very impressed with the treble reproduction on these speakers. they are an excellent addition for one who desires clarity in their music. they do not pack much bass so if you are looking to add bass without a subwoofer, this speaker is probably not for you. this speaker accents a subwoofer very well and keeps the treble clear and loud as the sub covers bass frequencies. hook this speaker up to an amplifier, and this thing screams! i have had these alpines for two years and have beat the hell out of them (as well as my ears) and they are still holding strong which is very important in my book.
