Strengths: Easy connection Anything that can be made to RCA goes to this through your stereo. Genuine Alpine.
Weaknesses: Cost.
Summary: I got this and it work flawlessly with my CDA-7893. It takes nothing to connect. You just need to be able to remove your deck. Plug and Play is what this is. Still $16 is cheaper then the USB or Ipod adapters Alpine has. For the money you can't go wrong.

Strengths: Good Sound, Versatile RCA Connectors, Genuine Alpine
Weaknesses: COST.
Summary: I installed this adapter a few days ago and so far i have been able to listen to my portable mp3 player while in the car. Installation is simple all i had to do was remove the deck, install the cable and attach to it a RCA to 3.5mm cable. Sound is nice and the cable quality with rubber shields is nice. All in all, if you need a way to get sound into your deck, this cable/adapter does a good job and worth the extra cost.

Strengths: No excess noise, clean sound. No distortion.
Weaknesses: Costly for an adapter
Summary: This allowed me to easily line in my Dell Axim to my Alpine deck. No fuss, no muss. Sounds really great, clean...I can turn up the volume further than I can with radio or CD.

Make sure to have a quality adapter from your device, whether it be a PDA or MP3player.

Highly recommend if you need something like this, buying a generic brand may be hit n miss.

Strengths: Quality, sound, build quality.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: This genuine adapter from Alpine is a must for anyone who wants to use their MP3 player with their AINET compatible head unit. The sound that pases through from the AUX source has no distortion, static, or problems to my ears. It hooked up painlessly and tucks away in my car with ease. I highly recommend this adapter. This is really not the kind of part you want to save a few bucks with and get a generic substitute;take it from me, they can be terrible. So go for this one you can't go wrong in my opinion.
