You can tune your bass with the built-in low-pass crossover (variable 50-200 Hz at 12 dB per octave) to best suit your vehicle's acoustics and your tastes. Subs also often waste energy trying to reproduce ultra-low frequencies (way out of the range of hearing) ? that's why the KX400.1 is outfitted with a 25 Hz subsonic filter, which keeps those performance-robbing frequencies away. For even more bass, you can dial in the KickBass boost for up to 18 dB of hard-hitting bass at 40 Hz. Kicker even includes a dash-mountable remote bass level control that makes on-the-fly adjustments a snap.
