Strengths: dual drive(cdrom and dvd), with great software you can rip, burn dvd movies and make vcds, back up data pics on dics.
Weaknesses: adaptec 5.0, as with all burning software, when it is released there are bugs that need to be fixed, and you will need to go on Roxio/Adaptec site to get updates to the burning software.
Summary: Great piece of equipment. If you have no problem with LG name and willing to accept this product for what it can do over silly manufacturer name. I was going to get me a more popular brand name, I am glad I got this, and will buy LG's products in the future!!!

I recommend you buy one... cant wait for their dvdr/writers.

and I wont get one until the burning speed exceeds 10x for blank dvds!!!
