Strengths: Display Functionality Ease of use
Weaknesses: Get's very hot Need to "square" the housing - shape makes a poor fit in even a large computer travel case.
Summary: Product has a high quality display, plenty of disk storage and a good processor. The overall weight is in the middle of most other laptops that I've owned. It's lighter that the Dell 8200 series.

Toshiba could have done more to dissipate the heat. It gets to hot to use as a laptop. I'm wondering how many warranty returns are due to failure of components from overheating. Even when the computer is connected to an AC outlet, the internal fan does not seem to activate to remove the heat.

If the computer holds-up for more than 2 years, I'll consider it a good investment. I am going to invest in a "no-fault" warranty.

Based on features and overall performance I would rate this as a good investment of $1,800.
