Then in September 2005 one of the rear speakers starting making a crackling noise...now the system shuts down on its own. Onkyo has been giving me and many others a hard time on correcting this problem. Check the internet on this product - many others are having the same problems. Some only after 10 months! I had this unit for about a year and loved it. Then I had the same problem getting Onkyo to do anything when the machine kept turning off. I finally got a hold of someone and received a new unit (after about 3 months of trying). I've had the new unit for about 7 months and so far no problems.
