Strengths: Very secure very stable minimized issues regarding viruses/spyware/malware.
Can run for decades without the need of upgrades/fixes. In one word, exceptional.
Weaknesses: Many features require more experience/knowledge of operating system than most people have for some distributions, like you were not born to use Linux, you need hard months of study to get a guru
Summary: I have been using Red Hat Linux Server on my shell company. It worths all the time in the world to fall inlove with it. Very stable, very reliable and most of all it's way better compared to any version of Microsoft Windows Server which I've been using for over 5 years. Worths seeing what it can do.
