Strengths: Ease of use, easy to clean, makes quality yogurt
Weaknesses: Instruction booklet recipes---listed amounts of ingredients may need to be adjusted
Summary: Since I bought this product, I have made 2 batches of yogurt. They have both turned out well. I decided to do plain for the first batch, just to see how it worked out. For the second batch I made the coffee yogurt described in the booklet that came with the yogurt maker. It's easy to make the yogurt and use the product. I used market bought yogurt as a starter, rather than the freeze-dried (or other) variety. Since my family thinks that plain yogurt in general is too sour, I am anxious to try with other ingredients besides coffee. The only thing I would say I have found thus far that could be improved is that the recipes in the booklet are off as far as amounts of milk to use. When I made the plain yogurt, it called for 42 oz. and I had too much milk, so had some leftover. When I made the coffee yogurt, it called for 1 qt. of milk and I only had enough for 6 jars, rather than 7. So, between the two batches, I had too much leftover (milk) for one and not enough for the other. I am guessing that somewhere in between, like 40 oz. would be better in general, in order to end up with the right amount to fill all 7 jars. I like the little jars because they're perfect for me to pop in my lunch box and take to work. Overall, I have not had this product for that long, but am pleased with it so far.
