Strengths: Easy set up; great sound
Weaknesses: Disc changer jammed, had to send back for repair -- under warranty, though -- works great now
Summary: This DVD Home Theater in a Box is a great little system. It has enough inputs to hook up your VCR and Satellite dish receiver. Speaker connections are color-coded for easy set up. this is a quick and easy and compact system. You'll love the 5-disc changer too!

Strengths: nice looking system, good sound for a small to medium size room, lots of nice features too
Weaknesses: I had a problem hooking up to tv and vcr....perhaps my problem but I could not find an 800# in manual to help me, figured it out on my own eventually
Summary: A GREAT buy in my opinion, Sony needs to work on more easy access to customer service. I had to go back and forth via e-mail and as an impatient consumer, I wanted to use it NOW! I am VERY satisfied with it now that I have in all together.

Strengths: Ease of install, looks, price, performance
Weaknesses: Stands cost as much as the system.
Summary: 2003-01-08 05:53:23 Delivery took 1 day and installation 30 minutes. I would not recommend that anyone purchase this system for a room that is larger than 12'x15'. This system is excellent for the money and the looks. For a system that only costs $350, it's well worth the money. I was reading some reviews and found that many buyers do not think the sound is loud enough and the bass not deep enough. To all those who said that you are nuts. If you want a system that will make your balls shake and ear drums burst then get a 12' powered sub and the Bose satelites and receiver for $2500. This systems is perfect for the first time Home Entertainment System buyer who wants to keep the budget under $400. Get it, you will not be sorry.

Strengths: When playing a DVD or VHS, video and audio is very good. Speaker wires are long enough for 14'X20' room. Easy setup.
Weaknesses: Remote buttons and labels too small and cumbersome.
Summary: 2002-11-24 17:05:56 Decent system. The receiver/dvd player combo is smaller than my old dvd player, and very sleek in design. This system has a five disk stacker, and only one disk tray pops out. The system was very easy to set up. The speaker wires are longer than the others I looked at. The sound and picture are Excellent in viewing DVDs.

Bad:

The remote has very small buttons.

The subwoofer is adequate, not powered by outside electricity. I find it just OK for DVD viewing.
