Strengths: Worked out of the box. Good picture quality. Nice to have coax, RCA, and S-Video inputs and outputs.
Weaknesses: Multi-function remote hard to program (still haven't had the time to get to it) and instructions are not clear.
Summary: Appears to work as advertised. I like the S-VHS ET feature. Front panel controls are clear. Silver face looks good, but may not blend with other components, especially black. Inside the instruction booklet was a certificate for a "JVC Cable Eye", apparently needed to work best with a cable box. Unfortunately, the certificate expired 3 months prior to my receiving the unit. The vendor is working with JVC to honor the certificate.
