Strengths: Like having a brand new computer at a fraction of the cost
Weaknesses: None noted as of yet
Summary: 2005-08-14 13:53:52 My friends say I have a dinosaur of a computer. It's an older laptop running Windows 98SE with a Pentium III, 700Mhz processor, 12GB hard drive, and 128MB RAM. Up until a few months ago I was perfectly satisfied. But then I began noticing how much longer it seemed to take to download large files. I do a lot of internet selling on a well-known site. I was spending more time on the computer than I wanted to. So, I took a chance and upgraded to 512MB RAM (2 x 256MB). That's half a gig and wow, did it make a difference! No, it will NOT let you surf the web any faster but as far as working with files and photos, it is a VERY noticeable difference. As I said, I'm computer challenged but it was real easy to install the two boards. I had the computer back on line in about 15 minutes. One cautionary note: beware of electro-static discharge (ESD) when handling/installing the boards. As long as you ground your bare skin to an unpainted part of the computer during installation you'll be OK. One added benefit is that PNY Technologies has a toll-free 24/7 tech support line and you can actually talk to a live person.

Strengths: Its compatiable with the old laptops also.
Weaknesses: Price
Summary: I was a bit confused about this, will it work or not in my old laptop. I believe this one the SODIMM pc100 RAM which can work majority of laptop models. And this PNY product is really a good one.

Strengths: Easy to install
Weaknesses: Price, but they're all expensive
Summary: This is a good product. Very easy to install in your notebook, and it makes a night and day difference in performance. Be careful, though. Make sure you're using the right module for your laptop, because they're not all created equal.
