Strengths: Great graphics, nice DVD player, fun games. Very reasonible price ($199.99).
Weaknesses: Not to many. All the great games that will blow other systems away are coming out in 5-7 months... You have to buy a remote and adaptore thingy to play DVD's ($25.99).
Summary: Over all, I think the XBOX will blow all other systems away. Just give it time. Awsome games, graphics, and playing online with other people will be cool.

Strengths: Everything! M$ promise, but they deliver unlike sony.
Weaknesses: Almost none. Lach of games
Summary: Just the best. Needs more games to prep it up Don't have any idea why Sony's winning, they shouldn't. They are liars and don't give what they promised. Sony fanboys should get a life.

Strengths: fast processing speed and graphics, separate remote for dvd
Weaknesses: zip zero
Summary: The xbox is the best! i once was the owner of an PS2 but after a month the processor could not process. Whenever I would load a game it would play normally and after a while it would just freeze up! And i knew it wasn't the disk because i brought each one brand new not used! so i decided to put that crap away and get an xbox and i have better sound on my home theater system and my normal old television. The picture is wonderful and i doesn't i repeat doesn't freeze up at all!!!!! Please do yourself a favor and get ride of the mini coffee table called a PLAYSTATION2.!!!!!!!!

Strengths: Great processor. More value for your $$$. Graphics are the best. Copy CD's to hard drive. DVD remote. Multiplayer modes. Plays your own music tracks while playing games.
Weaknesses: The only thing I can say is that the original control is weird. That I have to give it to Sony, they have a great control. BUT, there is the "S" controller now, it's great.
Summary: O.K. I hear all this mess about the X-box sucking and what not. Now I once owned a PS2 and was not satisfied completly. I was sceptical at first but went ahead and traded it for an X-box. Best decision ever made. Man you can't go wron with X-box. So what you need a remote, Man you get your money back. Multiplayer is essential for some games "What's up with only 2-player console SONY." Seriously X-box outdoes Gamecube and PS2. Oh yeah, how in hell do people choose Gamecube over X-box or PS2, it's insane, PS2 maybe but not Gamecube. C'mon people!!!!

Strengths: Graphics, Realism, Replay Value... I already have 8 games for it, and never got bored of them...way better than PS2.
Weaknesses: NONE SO FAR.
Summary: This is the best system ever. I owned a PS2 last year and had it only for a month. THe games sucked so bad i had to go back to "PSONE" games and those sucked too...and was bored until i got XBOX. Thank you Microsoft and Nintendo for making the video game industry "Great" again. Sony sucks...thanks for nothing. But kudos to the two companies (mentioned above )who actually make systems that "work".

Strengths: Awsome graphics - worth all $173.00 worth. ¡¡Blows away PS2!!
Weaknesses: With games like Halo with extraordinary graphics, their is a short londing time (5 seconds). Also not enough good games are out as of 5|30|02
Summary: This is a very good system. The best games out currently are Halo and Max Payne. Deatils in graphics are precise up to a flake of snow or a grain of sand. In Max Payne, even empty shells lay on the ground for as long as you are in the level. Xbox is a very good pic for the gamer or ordinary person. Overall - i would buy it anyday over Playstation2

Strengths: Great graphics, fast loading, has a hard drive, sexy look.
Weaknesses: Not too many games, have to buy a remote to play DVDs.
Summary: A sweet system. If you put the games selection of the PS2 and the graphics of this together you would get Jesus's game console. Hands down beats the PS2 for graphics, and as for not having too many games, it has Halo and Project Gothem, and thats all you need.

 My cosin owned one of these and every time he play ... Strengths: Everything is ok.
Weaknesses: Can have a problem somtimes.
Summary: 2004-04-05 13:57:49 My cosin owned one of these and every time he played Splinter cell the game froze. It was not the game because we returned it and got a new one and it still froze. This didn't happen with any other games though. He is eventualy going to return it for a brand new X box. I sugest people get only new systems. The price isn't theat much higher for a new X Box then for a refurbished one.

Strengths: Built in hard drive worth 50,000+ blocks, copying soundtracks, great graphics, great boot interface, LAN support
Weaknesses: Size is a little big, DVD remote required for playback, controllers a little bit too big
Summary: XBox was actually worth all $300 from the start. PS2 also started at $300 but you didn't get the hard drive, which hasn't even been released for PS2 yet. I own the XBox and PS2 and I like them equally the same. I have Halo for XBox and I just can't get enough of it. The PS2 should have started at $200 and the XBox at $300. Then declined prices should have been $150 PS2 and $200 XBox. The fact that you must have an XBox remote for DVD playback doesn't bother me, using the controller for PS2 is kind of difficult. The bottom line is - If you are looking for a good system and you are stumbling between XBox and PS2, I would probably get the PS2. There are more games, the accessory prices have dropped, and.... well, overall you just wouldn't be spending as much money for all the PS2 parts. XBox is great too though, if you can be addicted to a single game as long as I have (since I have owned Halo [4months]), then get XBox, you won't be disappointed!

Strengths: Best graphics, best processor, plays DVDs, Hard drive, broadband internet adapter, best system on the market
Weaknesses: HUGE controller. Need remote to play DVD's, broadband internet adapter
Summary: Readers please ignore the comments of kickstand571 because he's a ps2 groupie that refuses to acknowledge facts. Now let's talk about the xbox. The strengths? The xbox is the most graphically/audio superior console in existence. Microsoft knew what they were doing. GRAPHICS: Best graphics processor on the market! This is fact, not opinion. Easily makes games look much better, for example look at spiderman on the ps2 and the xbox, the xbox version not only has 2 extra levels, but it looks 10 times better. Same goes for max payne, it's just a better game on the xbox. DVD playback: In a way the remote requirement to play DVD's is a good thing, in a way it's not. For example if you have a date over you dont' want to grab a controller and try to put the moves on your boo, but with a remote you can just hit the button and keep your cool. Hard drive: This is a great feature. You DO NOT need memory cards to save a game with teh xbox, all you need is your xbox and a game! This system comes with a 9 GB hard drive. Very much worth it. Broadband internet adapter: This is a good and a bad thing. Iti's good because broadband is the way of the future and it's a great feature, but it's bad because not everyone has broadband available in their area so not all will be able to access it. Now the future of the xbox? who knows but this is the best console by far. True enough the ps2 and the gamecube has outsold it, but the ps2 has been out over a year longer.

when xbox came out it was around $400.00. so i tho ...
Strengths: it is big and makes a great foot rest.
Weaknesses: the controlers are huge the xbox is huge the fact is xbox sucks.
Summary: when xbox came out it was around $400.00. so i thought wow $400.00 this thing must be great. so i decided to barrow it befor i bought it. SMART CHOICE. when i brought it home the first thing i did is set it up next to my tv. It cracked that cheap piece of $#!+. then i went to see how many games it had online. it had about 10 crapy ones. by the way has anyone looked in a gaming magazine lately. has anyone notices that xbox is the lowest selling out of: Game cube, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, and n64! Thats pathetic. I recomend a Playstation 2. Their the best. And notice that Playstation 2 has sold the most out of everything and xbox has sold the least. So...... Get a Playstation 2 cause XBOX SUCKS!

I bought the xbox and it was okay but it has bad g ...
Strengths: nothing good.
Weaknesses: mostly everything like a lack of games.
Summary: I bought the xbox and it was okay but it has bad games and its way to big in size the controller is funny and the games have bad controls the graphics suck I dont know why its says it has the best graphics its acually the worst I would totally buy playstation 2 or nintendo gamecube but the ps2 is the best gamecube is good too xbox sucks.
