Strengths: Size plus big sound
Weaknesses: none found
Summary: Purchased these speakers with the hopes of a good surround sound match for my very old but excellent JBL L100's as my fronts and the S center II for the center. I must say I am very pleased with the match. These studio speakers have very crisp and clear sound. I would think they would work very nice for front stereo speakers as well. Be sure and shop for price as I believe I overpaid for mine. JBL has produced another winner.

Strengths: Clean, crisp sound with remarkable highs and lows, excellent midrange and more than adequate bass, beech color, craftsmanship
Weaknesses: None whatsoever!
Summary:

Somehow JBL managed to produce a speaker worthy of audiophile tastes for a reasonable price. Having bought these speakers over a year ago for $275 from BestPriceAudioVideo, I have used them for CD-R, MP3, and CD-RW playback without a problem while utilizing a 10 year old Onkyo Dolby pro logic receiver. The entire studio line is terrific...the only problem now is that the product is no longer a secret. Excellent job JBL!

Strengths: Sound, very clean
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Get a sub woofer for your deep bass. These will do the rest. They are presently used as my back surrounds in a 7 channel setup. I bough these on sale for $136 a pair. Check out JR for your best price.
