Strengths: MP3 and WMA support, MP3 Tag support, good control setup, disc compatability, auxillary input
Weaknesses: No EQ, combined power/source button
Summary: This a good midrange player from Alpine. It includes a lot of the features you would expect from a high-end player at a reasonable price. It supports MP3 and WMA files in folder arrangement and the search feature lets you search through music files by folder or title of the track to easily access any song on the disk. 160 kbit mp3s sound as good as a normal CD - especially with road noise in the background. It has a bit more power than most standard decks and sounds nice even at loud levels(depends on speakers of course). The display shows tag information and scrolls to show long names. With a button press you can cycle through artist, track, and album name. Although it doesn't have an EQ, there is base and treble adjustment and a feature to shift the frequency range of the adjustment, giving you better control of the sound than simple bass/treble control. The color of the buttons and display can be changed which can help you make the player stand out or blend in with the rest of your dash. The mute button is a nice feature when the cell phone rings (use hands free of course). The only negative I can think of is the combined power/source button - it is easy to accidentally change the source instead of shutting it down. A minor annoyance and overall I highly recommend this player.
