Summary: This is the size at which the difference between 720p (actually 768 here) and 1080p is finally supposed to become perceptible. Having seen the two side by side at 42", 50", and now 58", I just cannot tell any difference (maybe I just lack a videophile's eyeballs). I can, however, say that the 58" is a genuinely noticeable and more cinematic improvement over the 50". I've had mine for six weeks (I paid under $2200 from B&H--an excellent price, but you need your own tuner). It will be a very long time before I consider another set.
