little tikes Cook and Learn Kitchen
Strengths: Not too big-if your looking for something that doesn't take up a lot of space.
Weaknesses: Since it is pretty small, there is basically no storage room for play food. Doors don't close very tightly.
Summary: This is the perfect size for my 2 year old son. He loves cooking things for me. He doesn't understand the learning aspect of the toy yet (something he can grow into), but likes the sounds it makes during free play. It's nice that the toy can identify the items that are being placed on the cutting board or stove. My other kids also play along with him "cooking". Don't know that I would pay full MSRP, but if you can get it on sale, it's a good buy. The doors for the fridge and oven door do not stay shut completely-this doesn't seem to bother my kids, seeing as they are opening the doors as soon as they close them to "cook" something :). Waiting to hear back from Little Tikes to see if there is a solution to this. As mentioned in weaknesses, no storage space unless you include the bucket which kids then have to dump out to find the foods they are looking for-I bought a small set of plastic drawers for the food to go into so I wouldn't have food all over my floor when they were playing with it.
