Strengths: stability, 3 year warranty, competitive price, few limitations, attractive style, internal speakers
Weaknesses: 1280 x 1024 MAX resolution, internal speakers (and price, as is the case when you look into flat panels)
Summary: Overall, I have really enjoyed having this monitor. The silver and dark gray colors go well with my desk and accessories (webcam, keyboard/mouse, tower, etc.), and the size is great. The internal speakers are great for one wanting to save space and for Window's sounds and the occational listening to music, but this is not exactly a surround sound system, although you can plug a headset or speakers into the back of this monitor. I would only change three things about this monitor:

1. The resolution max (this does just as well as most 17", I just prefer 1600x1200--too small for most people anyway, I suppose).

2. Could certainly use some better internal speakers...where is Bose when you need them? lol.

3. The price is always a concern in flat panels, espescially 17" and up.

Conclusion:

GREAT for the user needing to save space and look good with all the features of more expensive LCD's.

Strengths: Quality is excellant, related to price. This is a very Good LDS monitor for the cost. Specs as good as higher priced models. Text is sharp and image look photo realistic. Great first LDS
Weaknesses: Speakers! poor. Text and image quality reduced at less than recommended res. Not very flexible.
Summary: For me this is one of the best first LDS's you can get; relative to the cost. Has similar specs and quality of higher priced big name brands. Although the text and image quality is a bit restricted, the recommended 1024x768 produces the best quality and can be used in some image and video processing; not for the professional or strict color-balance projects. The screen adjustments can produce a very mellow text image for long reading, and available shifts of warm/cold screen color balance enhances it's image editing capabilities. If you wish a good general, Low-cost LCD; this is your best bet today.
