Strengths: Reliability rating (three years in a row rated as top cordless drill by professional woodworkers). Lightweight, well-balanced, two quick charge batteries, very long battery run time.
Weaknesses: None so far, but have only used it a few times as I just received it.
Summary: I thoroughly research all of my purchases. Consumer Reports gave this model Panasonic Cordless Drill their highest rating. (Note*: Panasonic makes similar models with significantly less battery runtimes) The model with the "GQKW" extension was the one Consumer Reports rated a "Best Buy." Just as important as the Consumer Report's rating were the reviews of the many people that have purchased and used this drill. It is easy to understand why this cordless drill is rated so highly. It has all of the very best features, without the "trade-off" weaknesses of many other drills. The fact that this drill with two batteries can be purchased for $180 sealed the deal for me. It is obvious when you have this drill in your hand that it is both well designed and well made. I have used several other brands of cordless drills and all had weaknesses this Panasonic does not have. I'm certain you can buy cheaper drills, but for this price I doubt you can buy better.
