Strengths: Sleek-looking, displays standard definition (SD) picture well. Good price.
Weaknesses: Not HD, not widescreen (not surprising, since these two features often go hand-in-hand). Minimal cables included.
Summary: This TV is great for those who aren't ready to make the jump to the world of high definition widescreen TV yet still want to experience the convenience and sleekness of an LCD TV. Ideal for either a bedroom or a kitchen TV.
The 4:3 aspect ratio of this TV fits the mold of such people who would only be watching standard definition TV. The low resolution of this TV actually helps in that standard definition actually looks pretty good on this TV (compared to HD LCDs, on which SD content can look quite grainy).
Personally, I think that if you're going to spend the cash for an LCD TV, you might as well spend a little extra to get a more future-proof widescreen HD TV. The price isn't much more, and you'll thank yourself when you do indeed decide to try out HDTV--in that you won't need to buy yet another new TV.
