Strengths: Picture quality, price/square inch, resolution, ease of use, NO DEAD PIXELS on arrival!, PIP functionality, QAM tuner
Weaknesses: Contrast ratio could be greater, but at the price I paid, it's definitely worth it, so it's not even really an issue.
Summary: Having owned two Olevia models (the LT32HVM and 537h) prior to getting this 247t , I had a good idea of the kind of quality this type of set would offer. To no surprise, it was just as good, if not better, than I imagined. I was initially shocked at just how big 47" was. This TV is NOT small. The best part was that the base stand was not that much bigger than the one on my 537h, so I simply replaced my old set onto the same TV stand with no problems of overhang or balance.
As far as picture quality goes, this set is a winner. Sure, it may not POP as much as the high-end sets, but those cost 2-3 times as much! As a budget HDTV, this set manages to deliver stunning picture quality, from the color saturation to the level of detail. HD-DVDs come to such life (Planet Earth, anyone?) that I find myself just staring at the tv for hours. And gaming on this set? Whew, just set your Xbox360 to 1080p, pop in some COD4 or GOW, and you'll know how I feel.
Some extras that make this set even better include better PIP functionality (the 537h was very limited on this aspect, and the 247t more than makes up for what the 537h lacks), QAM tuner capabilities (free HD channels, baby!), and firmware upgrades via usb connection (as of now there aren't any firmware updates).
I suppose the only area that could be improved is the contrast ratio, but even then it's such a minor complaint I don't know if it's even worth mentioning. Sure, the blacks could be blacker...but then again, you could make this argument for all tvs. Seeing how there is no "perfect" set developed, there is always room for improvement for every tv. And this set is pretty much perfect.
Oh, this set also doubles as a FANTASTIC computer monitor. I'm almost tempted to give up my 22" LCD monitor (which rocks to no ends) just so I can use the 247t on a full time basis.
I highly recommend purchasing this set if you get the chance. If you can get it from CC at their price point of $1,099, there's pretty much no argument that should deter you from doing so. Even at the regular retail price of $1,599, I would get it.

Strengths: Great picture. Lots of different inputs. Nice remote
Weaknesses: PIP doesn't work with all inputs
Summary: Overall, I'm very pleased with this TV. Bottom line is that the picture quality is great and the other features are what I would expect with such a TV. There are a variety of inputs (HDMI, VGA, Composite, RCA, etc.), although PIP only works with some of these inputs.
The lighted remote control is fairly intuitively laid out, with larger buttons for the more commonly used features (channels, etc) and smaller buttons for less used features. It's multi device capable but I have not yet tried that part.
No major complaints about this TV. It does take about 10-15 seconds for the TV to turn on, which is slightly annoying, but probably isn't that bad compared to other TVs of this class.

Strengths: Amazing picture, lots of inputs,
Weaknesses: Startup time, DVD scaling, choppy ABC-HD
Summary: This TV, which I got on black friday, really is absolutely amazing. There was no other 47" 1080p LCD TV available for such a low price (under 1000), in fact, even know, they are several hundred dollars more. But even though the TV is inexpensive, the quality has been great so far. The picture is amazing, both on HD over the antenna, and is still decent on s-video through my Tivo. It also has tons of inputs- RF for Clear QAM and Antenna, two HDMIs, 1 VGA, 2 S-Video/Composite, 2 Component. It has digital audio out, both coax and optical (which I believe cannot pass through digital audio from HDMI, unfortunately.) One thing I noticed is that ABC-HD is often choppy on this TV. Its frustrating when I'm watching lost, but its still bareable, especially when the picture is crystal clear.
Another problem is that when you first turn it on, it takes about 10 seconds for it to actually tune in to a channel. This is my first LCD TV, so that is annoying. Also, through component video, putting DVD into the TV is kind of disappointing, because the Aspect changing options do not make it fill up the screen correctly. I think I need an upscaling DVD player.
But all in all, this TV has not disappointed yet. We are very happy with it.

Strengths: Picture Quality, Overall quality of TV
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is my first Flat TV after retiring my rear projection Hitachi. I had no idea what direction of manufacturer I wanted to sway but I knew I didn't want to pay for a high end priced TV again depending on reliability. Never heard of the name before but for $1,033 out the door including tax and an extended 3 year warranty, I was sold.
Put it on my large living room wall at home and I could not be more pleased! The HD picture quality is outstanding! I watch a lot of DVD's and with my surround sound hooked up, I am extremely satisfied. Don't waste your time buying for the name brand. This TV will not disappoint you whatsoever!

Strengths: color temp, excellent vga pq, removable speakers, low price
Weaknesses: the width is a bit too thick
Summary: i connect this tv with nvidia 8400gs via vga and it gives me cleaner and sharper image than feeding it from dvi to hdmi. i always prefer olevia's display color temperature because it looks more natural to me than other brand. the speakers are removable if you decided to use external speakers. my only complaint is the housing could have been a little thinner. overall, i'm extremely pleased with this tv.

Strengths: Nice bright quality picture, HD picture is amazing, Cost
Weaknesses: Speakers are okay but not great. Would highly recommend getting a 7.1 HD Home theatre system.
Summary: This is a very good TV for the price. The image quality is amazing. I would highly recommend this product to someone who does not want to spen $2000-$3000 for a new LCD TV.

Strengths: picture, size, price, support 1920x1080 via vga
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2008-02-25 17:38:28 I thought I was stunned at the picture quality from this olevia. for about half the price of the competitors, you get the same picture quality. The skin tone produce by this unit is a little bit on the warm side with a slight push on the red, but nothing to complain about. 1080p is razor sharp from a pc via vga @ 1920x1080. Text are clean and crisp. built-in atsc tuner does a great job scaling 1080i and 720p signal. I don't see any motion blur or any banding. included remote also has a backlight. highly recommended.

Strengths: A great TV and the price I paid makes it even better! So far like it all.
Weaknesses: need longer than standard cables to connect DVD etc as inputs are quite high up on the back pannel. On screan controls a bit confusing but I guess that is what the manual is for!
Summary: Bought it because of the price ($1099), then asked questions. Everyone said I was getting a great deal so it stayed. The picture quality is great. Having never had a decent size TV, this is a big change for me and I love it.

Strengths: Price, Features, Clarity
Weaknesses: Menu function a little cumbersome
Summary: This set is on par with a 46" 1080P Sharp, when I compared them side by side at home. It's about 20% less than the Sharp at the time. SD is a little fuzzy, but with HD input, the picture quality of this set is just amazing, even in a brightly lit room. Menu function can be better if it is some type of drop-down list, rather than having to cycle through a long list of options.

Strengths: Clarity, functionality, PinP, colors, price
Weaknesses: contrast a little low, can be fuzzy during quick action, but that's what you get with all LCD TVs
Summary: Love this telvision all around. It's a great value for the price and it's got the best specs to price ratio in the industry. Fully recommended to anyone who is looking to make a first foray in to LCD TV.

Strengths: Price to Picture Quality
Great Picture from All Angles
1080P for 720P price
Weaknesses: No remote codes
Some bleed through
Only 2 HDMI inputs
Have to scroll through ALL inputs choices
Odd Menu system
Summary: 2008-04-02 06:51:50 I have had the TV for 4 months now and I am still amazed at the quality of the picture for the price (under $1000) that I paid.
The lack of remote codes so that I can consolidate my remote controls with my Dish Remote is very annoying.
Having to cycle through all input sources, even those not connected is equally annoying.
I have used component, VGA (1920x1280!), HDMI, and SVIDEO inputs -- all with good results.
At under $1000 -- I wouldn't think twice about purchasing again.
Good budget 1080P TV.

Strengths: Picture quality; screen size; resolution; price; upgradable; built quality
Weaknesses: Brand name; weight
Summary: I was one of those who got this TV on Black Friday from Circuit City. This TV looked huge when I first put it my living room. However, after I got used to it, the screen size really enhanced my viewing experience a lot!
Originally I was looking for a 42" one, but this TV fell right into the price range with 5 inch larger screen. I've heard a lot of good comments about Olevia TV and decided to give it a shot. This TV has 1080P resolution, and has all the inputs (including 2 HDMI) to view the HD content and it's future proof. Also, don't be fooled by the contract ratio as each manufacturer uses its own creative method to measure this and there's no indenpendent number out there. The picture looks excellent to me and even the SD content looks very nice. Of course, the HD content looks like right in front of me and really blows me away.
I'm so pleased with my purchase and never look back. This is a decent quality TV at such a great price that you have no excuse not to buy it.
