Strengths: Comfortable, very strong bass, high SPL level
Weaknesses: Haven't found any major ones yet. Might be a little uncomfortable for people with big ears.
Summary: These are great if you are looking for a high quality mid price-ranged headphone. The sound quality is very good. The high SPL level allows for these headphones to be turned up very high, which was something I was looking for to go with my mp3 player. On full volume, they actually hurt my ears...something I couldn't do with my old headphones. Also, the bass is just as good as my brother's 120 dollar Sony's. One thing I would watch out for is the size of the earphones. While they do cover the whole ear, they are quit snug. This can be good and bad thing, sometimes I have to reposition them so my ears are comfortable. Once I get it in the right place I hardly even know I'm wearing the these. They are also very light. While my parents are listening to their music in the car I can barely even hear it. These Sennheisers block outside sound out greatly. Lastly, they look very sharp. They're high tech and expensive looking but don't make you stick out like a sore thumb.

Strengths: Great volume, base, and comfort.
Weaknesses: Large size makes them comfortable, but possibly bulky for airplanes.
Summary: Compared to the headphones included with my Arcos Jukebox MP3 player these are "TIGHT." I'm ordering three more sets for XMAS gifts. I read an earlier review which touted the VOLUME. I like loud volume, and lots of bass. At 50% of my computer multimedia volume, that's all I need. Would give 5 stars, except that there are better, lighter phones available, somewhere, for more money. These sound at least as good as the BOSE headphones I tried for $299.

Strengths: Price,
Overall Sound,
comfortable(even large heads despite what some say),
Lightweight
Weaknesses: not ultra portable,
lets sound out(does not let much sound in though),
Summary: Most people say Headphones sound best 40-80 hours after first use. Can they get much better? When i was shopping for head phones i was surprised when people were calling these and other $50+ headphones really cheap. That is because these headphones are in the next level. The treble is very clear along with the mids. The bass is very good but is not extremely low. Compared with $40 dollar radioshack Optimus headphones there is no comparison. I have not tested the Grado s-60 which appear to be similar, because my absolute limit was $50(newegg.com) For the person who has had some OK headphones before and want to upgrade i think this is the best $50(free shipping)you can spend.

Strengths: Clear and crisp highs and mids
Awesome surround sound feeling
Detactable cord
Extremely long cord
Weaknesses: Earpiece may be a bit small for some
Bass could be a bit stronger
Extremely long cord
Summary: These headphones are absolutely awesome.
When hooked up to a nice sound card, you find a new appreciation in music. You hear sounds that you have never heard before and notice how they seem to fade from right to left or left to right.
When playing video games, you can literally feel the environment. I've played Doom 3, Halo, & Max Payne 2 on these headphones so far and the clarity alone helps you distinguish where enemies are before you can see them.
When I first listened to these headphones I was disappointed; but after running them at various volumes for hours, it seemed like they found their nitch and everything sounds great.
Another plus is the extremely long cord....which is also the one of the minus'. I use these mainly for my PC, so the cord is awesome. Especially when I need to go halfway across the room to grab more pizza :D Then again, I nearly had a heartattack due to the long cord. It was laying on the floor, I was stepping on it, I stood up, and BAM.... cord falls to the floor, headphones still on my head. It wasn't until I noticed the cords plugged into the earpieces on the headphones. I would buy these again for this one feature in itself. I nearly threw $60 in the trash after only having these for a week.
My only other con is the bass. I have subs in my car and I'm a bass head. I can't get enough of it, but what can you expect from headphones. I know there are headphones that have nice powerful bass, but these aren't one of them. The bass is adequate, but I wish there was just a tad bit more.

Strengths: Sound quality would be decent if the bass wasn't so overpowering.
Weaknesses: Highs a bit muffled, so soundstage vague at times.
Bass is way (way) to strong. Ruins what would otherwise be a decent low cost pair of cans.
Summary: These phones actually get some good reviews, but they're so bass heavy I cannot understand why people like them. I love the overall sound of Sennheisers, very detailed, quite dynamic, a "clean" sound. Overall these would be that, if they would just dial the bass back (quite a bit). As is they are only good for heavy rock (techno, rap, etc). I returned these and bought the HD280Pro model. For marginally more money, a much better product in my opinion.

Strengths: Great clean, detailed sound. Lightweight and very comfortable. They get very loud without much distortion. Replaceable cord is a huge plus - the cord broke on my last 2 pairs (Sonys).
Weaknesses: I think the cord is too long - not the best match for portables. The bass could be stronger and deeper.
Summary: Overall, they are a great cost-effective choice. My last two pairs of headphones were 100 dollars plus and these definitely compare well, if not better. The strengths overwhelmingly outweigh the weaknesses - recommended.
