Strengths: Best warranty, decent display and price (13 months ago)
Weaknesses: Cannot adjust height, not as sharp/bright as Dell Ultra
Summary: I bought the LCD on 12/2002. Got flinking problem in 12/2003. Reported to tech about the problem and they sent a new monitor to me in a week. I used the same box and included UPS label to ship back. Best warranty, you cannot beat 3-years advanced shipping replacement.

Strengths: Great, very sharp and bright picture.
Weaknesses: You'll probably need to raise this up off of ordinary desktop level.
Unit came with one always-on red pixel near top of screen. Doesn't bother me.
Summary: Great monitor for an incredible price. The 3 year warranty was what sold me, but I am happy to say I haven't had to use it.

Strengths: Price, Slim profile, Crispness, Viewing Angle, Response Time
Weaknesses: No DV input
Summary: I got this monitor from Tiger Direct about 5 months ago when they were featuring a "Name Brand 17-inch LCD" for $299 after rebate. Oh, how I wish I could get that deal again... I'd buy two more! Some have complained about the lack of height adjustment, but I love the fact that it sits almost flat on the desk (or could hang on the wall). My old 15" LCD sits next to it on its more traditional stand, but the top of the 2 monitors are pretty even with each other. Remember, this thing has a huge viewing area. I'm glad it's not higher up in the air. The native resolution of 1280x1200 took some getting used to. This monitor (like most big LCDs) will not look so good if you want to run lower resolutions.

Strengths: Beautiful images, great warranty.
Weaknesses: Lack of height adjustment
Summary: Image quality rivals the 17" Sony (twice the price) and beats the 15" Samsung at work. I had to research the Cornea brand for a couple of weeks because the price was just too good to be true: $389 delivered from NewEgg. If the height thing becomes an issue, I could stand to stack a couple of wood blocks under it and still like it - the comparable Samsung I almost bought was $90 higher and its height was not adjustable, either.

Strengths: Price, setup, image
Weaknesses: placement on desktop
Summary: I have several LCD dispays at work and for the value of this display I'm sure I will purchase more. We have the NEC 1550v and you can't beat them for 15inch but the Cornea is a really nice 17inch for less then the NEC.

Strengths: Excellent contrast, bright screen, good color resolution. Easy to setup and run.
Weaknesses: Height is not adjustable.
Summary: I purchased the monitor, received it about a week later. Excellent contrast and resolution. Sleek black cabinet, color is same anywhere on screen area. NO DEAD PIXELS!! Three year warranty on parts and labor. First year is advance swap-out of unit, they ship you a new one before you send other one back. Pixel warranty is 3 or more dead pixels they will replace the unit, much better than some of the "big name" monitors out there. You will not go wrong by purchasing this monitor! Great price at less than $530.00

Strengths: Price, sharp, bright
Weaknesses: sometimes acts a little flaky (see below)
Summary: Bought from eCost.com for $529 plus a "handling fee" of about $15 minus the $50 rebate. The monitor is very easy to set up. I like the black cabinet. It is very sleek and quite thin. The viewing angle is adjustable but height is not. Once set up properly the screen is very bright and crisp, especially in a dark environment. Ambient light does cut down the sharpness slightly. The only problem I have encountered is that when I am running several applications at once the monitor will sometimes go blank and give me an error message that "85 HZ Refresh Rate Not Recommended Use 60 Hz..." However, I do have everything set to 60 Hz and the monitor itself confirms that it is receiving the signal at that frequency, so it is a mystery why it is crashing on me. I thien have to reboot and start all over. Tech support has not been especially helpful. However, for such a low price I think this monitor can't be beat. Its picture quality easily rivals that of NEC and all the rest.
