Strengths: Quiet and smooth. Lots of room on the box for stickers.
Weaknesses: No on/off switch and have to pay more for a firewire cable. Too much room on the box for stickers.
Summary: It is pretty good and pretty cheap, only $120 on sale. Need to pay $60 or more for a firewire connector. I hate companies charging you that little bit more just so that you can use a firewire drive on a firewore port...like selling a gas/electric car without batteries. If all you got is USB 2.0 ports, this drive is for you...if you have a just a little depth and variety in your equipment use...buy something else.

Strengths: Great drive. Works well.
Weaknesses: None that I know of. (It's not free? Heh.)
Summary: Don't know why you'd need a manual for a USB drive(?) Some people are clueless I guess. You just plug it in to two place. #1 Electrical Outlet, #2 USB Port. That's it.

I was able to set this up in less than 1 minute. It actually took me longer to get it out of the packaging than it did to use it. If you're clueless your results will vary.

Works on USB 2.0 (backwards compatible with USB 1.1) and has the option to upgrade to a Firewire Connection.

Strengths: VERY easy to install, I did it in under 5 minutes. A plus is the QuikSync feature which you can set your backups by time intervals, days, or keep the backup ongoing all the time.
Weaknesses: Did not come with a manual, I had to view the manual on the CD (also the installation CD)and print from there.
Summary: I have IOMEGA's ZIP and CDRW drives and (knock wood) have never had any problems. IOMEGA is known for quality so when I needed this external HD, I knew right away that I was going to get whatever product IOMEGA offered (I ended up getting the 40G HDD) I would highly recommend this manufacture. Not that I purchased for this reason, but it's a nice looking unit and looks great sitting on my desk!
