Strengths: Good all around DVCam. Lots of features. Remote direct to TV. Zoom of taped image on TV. Still capture from video. Sound on still pic's. Editing features.
Weaknesses: Battery time. Pixels
Summary: Overall quality of movie is excellent and still is good. Could use a little higher total pixels on both movie and still pic's. Not much room for cropping and enlarging. Excellent stabilizer for long range zooms. Very good pickup of audio and apparent AGC. I like the ability to voice annotate stills. Recommend upgrading the memory chip if you intend to take a lot of still pic's on a trip. Saves having to download often to the laptop.

Strengths: Outstanding video and still picture quality. Easy to use. Light weight. Good zoom range, optical zoom is great.
Weaknesses: Can hear some low level noise from zoom on video - not real noticable. Some difficulty focusing in very low light. No external microphone option.
Summary: We purchased this camera after reviewing a lot of cameras in this price range. Both my wife and I love it. We are amazed by the clarity and stability of the video. The camera is easy to use and the menu is fairly intuitive. The instruction booklet is generally easy to follow - with a couple of exceptions (formatting the memory card requires you to read in a couple different areas). The view finder and LCD display are both good quality. You'll need to purchase a larger battery; as the one with the camera is only good for 20 minutes or so with the LCD display on. My only real regret is that you cannot take the stills on the memory card while video taping; it's one or the other. Overall, this is a great camera for the price.

Strengths: Huge screen, easy to use alot of neat features.
Weaknesses: Battery that comes with the camera is only good for 30 minutes. Upgrade the battery.
Summary: Purchased at Buydig.com which was the lowest price by far. Camera arrived via Fedex 2 business days after order was placed. A lot of great features that are easy to use. Read the instruction book to learn all the options. One of the only camcorders that I have seen that can record video for email and also various resolutions on the still feature.
