Strengths: Sound and clarity for wide mix of music. Power sufficient for most uses. Auxillary line input on front panel before anyone else. Played most formats. Inexpensive

Weaknesses: Very attractive to car thieves. Easy to get in and out of dash.

Summary: A car is a difficult environment for music, but this player really broke ground both in the quality of sound, price and connectivity to other devices. Played mp3 discs or you could simply jack your player directly. ( before the ipod was a gleam in Steve Jobs eyes). Despite having what was considered luxury stock hifi systems, this little unit actually produced a sound stage in my car.

If you can find one, it really is all need for all your audio pleasures.

JVC KD-SX780

Strengths: Beautifull interface, majorly easy to install. Can see the display during the daytime. Outputs a large amount of sound for an in dash system.

Weaknesses: None found yet

Summary: I bought my Honda Accord without a stereo and I knew I didn't have factory speakers in it. Bought myself one of these and installed it in maybe an hour with the directions. Outputs phenominal sound without even turning the volume all the way up.
