3 Star ReviewI was very disappointed at the inputs/outputs desi ...
Strengths: Good picture, fantastic sound, clean fresh look. Nice component integration.
Weaknesses: Terrible output/input ports. Optical digital out is coaxial instead of true optical, no SVHS input.
Summary: I was very disappointed at the inputs/outputs design of this unit. Lacking a SVHS input and a true Digital Optical out makes this unit almost impossible to hook up to any other source aside from analog or standard video. A coaxial digital out is provided, but video input is limited to component in. Very bad design for a great TV.

If you want to hook up to your computer or stereo, go with Panasonic and give this TV a wide berth.

If you dont care, this is the TV you want.

Strengths: Very good picture with excellent sound. Easy to operate once you get past complex remote control.
Weaknesses: Remote has too many functions with small print. Not illuminated and hard to read in dim light.
Summary: This combo TV-VCR-DVD does all that it says it can do. BUT youve got to memorize the remote control locations for key tasks because they are too hard to find in dim light and certainly in dark situations. The fine print in the manual will tell you that once you've programmed the unit to record you are locked from any use of the VCR etc. until you unlock the record mode. You must lock again to record each time. The manual does NOT have an index and the Table of Contents just isn't enough when you are looking for specific functions. The autoclock option is not clearly defined and I have yet to prove to myself that this option actually works. The remote cannot easily be used by someone who needs large print to read and requires a degree in electrical engineering to use to its fullest. BUT the TV working as a TV is excellent and worth the time to learn the finer details.
