 The picture on the website made me believe this wa ... Strengths: Awesome picture quality using component video cables. You can change out the other CDs while playing one.
Weaknesses: Did not play my MP3s. Recognized the correct number of files, but could not play any of them. You cannot randomize across multiple CDs. Only comes in the color Silver.
Summary: The picture on the website made me believe this was a black component piece. I was greatly surprised to see the shiny silver upon opening the box. Although pissed, I plugged it in anyway to see the difference Progressive Scan makes. It allows you to turn this feature on and off (with off being the default), although I don't know why anyone wouldn't use it. I was more than pleased with this product as a DVD player. My ultimate suprise was at how poorly it was designed to play audio. It says MP3 support, although I couldn't get one to play. You can also only play one CD at a time. It would be nice if it would let you choose which CDs to randomize across, I assumed this was a standard feature for all multiple CD Components. I am returning this product.
