Strengths: All 22 GMRS and FRS channels. 2 watts & 1/2 watts. NiMH batteries & charger. Rugged case. Large lllighted LCD display.
Weaknesses: No audible alert signal when using CTCSS except to other Cobra radios. 3rd-party headset won't work with it.
Summary: Solid, professional feel. Enough power to get the job done. No 'memory' problems with NiMH batteries. Easy to use. Clear sound. Compact but large enough to fit a man's hand. Can use AAA alkalines when necessary. Automatically switches to 1/2 watt for FRS-only channels 8-14.

This is what you want for serious work or play.
